Valuable piece of information. Your Pokémon learn moves at the earliest point in any generation. For example, your Ponyta actually has access to quick attack and ember at lvl 1! Some Pokémon it doesn’t matter for but some get some nice little gems. Veekun.com has a Pokédex that makes this really easy to see
