It happens. Or did you not notice "Most users ever online was 89, 02-23-2011 at 10:35 PM." at the bottom of the forum main index? I have a screencap from that evening iirc ... But yeah: it happens.

Dude, courtesy of Kuno's call for more screencaps of old board layouts in this thread (http://forums.upnetwork.net/showthread.php?t=3054), I was looking through my many "UPN" folders on this system and I found this old screencap from some time in college. A, check out how many bots were on all at once. B, check out what our (back then) max record for bot spam was. That's right: most users ever online was one thousand nine hundred ninety-four on August 07, 2003. ^^; :)

So yeah. UPN's always been plagued by bot storms. The fact that 37 impresses you should say a lot for some of the anti-bot measures various people here have taken over the years.
