Shouldn't this be filed under videogames?

I'm tempted to try it out. Is it simple to install? What are the controls like? Impressions please!

I'm not sure how to get it to work. I'll see what happens after I've finished downloading the game.

I can see what you mean, as "visual novels" are considered "fanmade PC games" by most people, but ... they're more akin to a real novel (with an anime flare) than to a game. And we discuss manga in here, even though manga is not televised. I dunno. I'd like to see a Fate (visual novel) thread in this forum rather than VG, but there's no denying that the Japanese themselves would probably say otherwise.

Oh god this is so awesome. At least 10X better than the anime, though I'd say people who played the game first were a bit overzealous by saying the anime was trash compared to the game.

Effectively, since I found FSN's anime to be a disappointment, thus far I'm thinking, "game is really, really great, but doesn't live up to the hype exactly". It's almost everything I've expected, but there's an annoying lack of Archer in the Fate route. :x

Thus far, I'm on Day 3 I think. Saber + Shirou just got beat up by Berserker, and everyone in the game is a LOT more powerful than in the show. Id est, there wasn't much left of Shirou after Berserker hit him - he was in pieces.

Neeeds the voices, though! I hope Anonymous gets around to splicing them into the game like the 2channers did for Kanon. >:|

Bump / request for info: has the entire game been translated into English by now? Or is it still just Fate and UBW with no HF? :(

I refuse to browse /jp/, but to my knowledge all of FSN has been translated thus far and includes the vocal patch as well.
