The PSP to but thats not as unique a handheld as DS has been. It was the first system I had gotten games for before even having the system cause its a Nintendo handheld and I always get those! But that initial $150 price point was totally balls so I waited nearly a year to get one. Alot of its games early on were super gimmicky and the system sold poorly but now things have changed, few games really make use of the touchscreen in any meaningful way and it sells super well. Even surpassing a GBA milestone as the DS sold over 1 million sold in 1 week recently in the US.
I kinda prefer the early DS era currently it feels like no ones really trying and the systems flooded with remakes and games that coulda been done better on a more normal system. For instance instead of another stylus-based Kirby game we got one that prolly coulda been done on the GBA and one thats a remake of a SNES game. Sheesh! So my interest in it nosedived over the past 2 years. Now that a I got a DS Lite I'm trying ta get back into the swing of things and have identified a few games I'd maybe give a try.
