Seems like no one cares about SF4, but since I did this, I felt like I should still mention it.
Anyway, as I said in another thread, I tried playing this game with the Guitar Hero guitar controller.
Its has an extreme high learning curve. Firstly, not all of the buttons correspond with the buttons on your standard XBox360 controller. Green is not A and Red is not B. Yellow, Blue, correspond, but there's no RB and RT. Orange is apparently LB. Green and Red not being A and B is extremely odd as outside of fighting, they still function as A and B (like in the title menu as well as pause screen menus).
If you didn't know already, A and B are Low and Medium Kick resp. These have now somehow become the 'tilt your guitar' motion. If level the back of the guitar and make it parallel with the ground and jerk the neck forward or move the base around, you pull off a Low Kick (A). I'm uncertain how to pull off a Medium Kick, but sometimes my Low Kicks will turn into EX moves when doing specials (in other words, I'm somehow pressing multiple kick buttons at the same time).
The motion sensor is pretty sensitive so if I lay the guitar on my lap and slap the bottom end, I can pull off a kick sometimes. But this can be a problem because if I do that, striking the punch buttons can sometimes trigger a kick to go off.
Oddly enough, this actually makes it extremely easy to unintentionally pull off very fast combos with certain characters lol. Especially with multiple specials- such as Shoryuken quickly followed by Senpukyaku before the Shoryuken even has time to launch the opponent away.
Additionally, the D-Pad is extremely small on the guitar controller. Adding the fact that you'll likely be moving the controller around to try to get kicks off, it can be very easy hit the wrong direction and can sometimes make the wrong moves happen or just not happen at all. Other times I randomly pull of combos I can't do on a standard controller lol.
This makes playing against other players extremely random. Sometimes people will think you're doing some crazy combos and pulling off some insane moves. Other times you look like a retarded fish trying to breath on the land as you flop about.
Overall I laugh every time I try this out. Hopefully I'll get a video up on Youtube or something of me doing this lol.

Whoa, that sounds awesome! A video would be relevant to my interests.

My friend got this game recently and said it was hard as hell.
I would attempt to do these Guitar Hero stunts on Soul Calibur, but alas I only have it for the Wii.

I think SF4 is easier than SC4. SC4 does have a considerably weaker AI than SF4, but doing specials is totally easier on SF4. And after a bit of practice, SF4 gets considerably easier.
I don't think I could do Soul Calibur 4 with the GH controller. The fact that the game isn't a 2D fight makes controlling the characters considerably more difficult.
